We've loaded this site and this tour with photos so you can experience the Cape through your computer... you can almost feel the warm gulf waters and balmy breezes gently swaying the palm trees... so let's introduce you to the Cape! This is the Masonic Fountain that greets you and welcomes you as you enter Cape Coral from the Cape Coral Bridge, the southernmost bridge to the Cape. Multicolored lights and varying water heights make this fountain lovely to see day or night. This is also the area decorated with "tropical" Christmas lights every season...
This is the memorial that proudly greets you as you approach the Cape from the Veteran's Bridge (also called the Midpoint Bridge, as it's in the middle of the Cape's Eastern coast). You'll only pay a $1.00 toll for each crossing of either the Cape Coral Bridge or the Veteran's Bridge... most residents purchase discount programs available through Lee County, called a "LeeWay" pass. Here's what a toll booth looks like... Downtown Cape Coral is lined with shops carrying everything from jewelry to patio furniture. There are family owned and operated drug stores, gas stations and hardware stores where you get down-home personalized service, and clothing stores where you can find anything from a souvenir T-shirt to a glamorous formal gown. We also have all the major national chain stores like WalMart, K-Mart, Target, Lowe's and more... And restaurants that serve the finest cuisine to the fastest fast food... You can either dine indoors or be served on one of the many sidewalk cafes or outdoor decks... all the national franchises are here too... Some restaurants are also accessible by boat...
